This is my favourite. Every person have a special character, renoir just with few points. They live and I can hear the sound of their voices chatting.

I love the classist issues revealed here. Renoir has the two boatmen disassociating from the group- everyone else is enjoying the luncheon. the boatment gaze off clearly not "fitting" in. Is this how renoir felt growing up poor?
